Meet Your 2025 Hammerheads Leadership Team

Communication

• Email is our primary communication tool. Make sure your contact information is up-to-date! Reach us anytime at [email protected].
• For urgent updates, sign up for Remind at remind.com/join with class code @huntinghi2.
• While the Facebook group is great for informal discussion, official team updates come via email—so always check there first!

Practices

• Check the practice schedule and refer to the Signup calendar for important dates. 
• Coaches may adjust practice groups based on ability or maturity—please trust their guidance.

Introducing Fin Friends! 

Our Hammerheads Buddy Program is designed to help new swimmers (Fresh Fins) feel welcomed and supported by pairing them with returning Hammerhead veterans (Vets). Throughout the season, buddies will encourage one another, build team spirit, and cheer each other on at meets! Sign up to participate.

Meet Sign-Ups & Attendance

Our meet schedule is available on Swimtopia. To participate:

1. Log in to declare your swimmer’s attendance using the Meet Entry button.
2. If your swimmer cannot attend, please indicate this in advance—default assumption is that all swimmers are competing.
3. Last-minute absences? Notify us ASAP to help us reseed heats efficiently.
4. Volunteer by selecting your role using the Job Signup button.
5. Declarations must be completed by Wednesday before each meet to allow coaches time for entries.

Service Requirements

We rely on you, our families, to make the season a success! This year's service requirements:

• Each family must complete 5 service points throughout the season.
• Roles are assigned point values—top volunteers will receive special recognition at the season’s end!

Frequently Asked Questions

❓ Need to add a parent/guardian to Swimtopia?
Email us from a registered parent/guardian account with the name, email, and swimmer details. For safety, we cannot accept requests from unknown emails.

❓ Swimmer unsure about meets?
Let's give them time to settle into practice first! Many swimmers need a little encouragement for their first race—older teammates can act as buddies, and exhibition races are an option. If your swimmer prefers practice only, mark their status as not attending for meets.

❓ New to swim team service?
Great! Timing is an easy entry point with a front-row seat to the action. Scoring table is another low-stress role with flexibility to watch races!
