Hello Hammerheads!

Our first home meet was a great success! Thank you for showing such hospitality to our guests. We greatly appreciate our volunteers, both those in assigned roles and those who stayed after the meet to help return all equipment and gear to its proper place. It’s amazing what we can do when we work together.

Despite our competitor bringing well over double the number of our athletes, Hammerhead swimmers showed up strong, focused, and ready for competition! Yet again, we achieved numerous time cuts and saw higher levels of confidence. Though the final score was 215 HH - 259 FO, we made this a close meet and demonstrated great strength as a team!

WEEK AHEAD

Swim Meet

Though many are preparing for holiday festivities, we also have a swim meet to prepare for. This week, we have an intra-divisional tri-meet on the morning of July 4th against Coppermine Swim Club and Country Club of Glen Burnie. We are representing Division 6, with our competitors from Divisions 7 and 8. If at all possible, please attend this meet so we can be competitive and represent. RSVP on SwimTopia ASAP but no later than Wednesday.

Upcoming Meet - We still have a few key volunteer spots for this week including…1st & 2nd half Clerk of Course, 2nd half Stroke & Turn Judge.

Service Points - Now is the time to check your family’s volunteer points. There are four families who have 1 or fewer points, and eleven families who have 2 - 3 points. You can sign up for spots through the rest of the season. Thank you so much to those families who are going above and beyond!

July 2nd Evening Practice Change

Due to Adult Night, practice will be 5:00 - 5:45pm for 11+ swimmers only. Practice for 10 and under is cancelled. All swimmers must be picked up by 6:00pm.
